Customer - Bird’s Eye Frozen Food Products
The Problem
Expensive use of water softeners to keep 24/7 working for 10 weeks continuously functioning without limescale collection wearing, damaging and stopping the production line. Water input needed to reach 65,000 litres/hour, continuously.
The Solution
Extensively trialed over 3 years in gradual stages, KalGUARD+ was successfully employed to take over stage by stage, each part of the old production facility. The system was then employed as the only water treatment on a brand new production facility which had water input increased to 350,000 litres/hour. Successfully achieved at first attempt in 2008 with the longest frozen vegetable season in the history of the company. No failures occurred.

The Problem
Used water softeners currently but neglect of servicing by local operations meant these did not work. Lost £250,000 in water heaters each year, due to limescale. Also, energy efficiency badly impaired for same reason.
